NZ Clubs & Organizations

  • New Zealand Federation of Bird Clubs –
    The Federation was formed in 1932 and is currently based in Christchurch, it provides an umbrella organisation for over thirty clubs spread throughout New Zealand having a combined total membership in excess of 1,100. These clubs have been established for many years with several having been in existence for between 70 and 90 years, the oldest was established 120 years ago.There are also thirteen specialist bodies which cater for the different species of birds.
  • Dunedin Bird Club –
    The country’s oldest bird club, our members keep a variety of birds, from canaries, zebra finches, and budgerigars to quail, finches, parrots, cockatiels, british birds and more. We have some very experienced and knowledgeable people, including show judges and award-winners, past and present.
  • Kapiti Bird Club
    The Kapiti Bird Club meets at the Kapiti Community Centre, Ngahina Street, Paraparaumu every 2nd Wednesday of the month.

  • American Singers Club Chapter 22- DRAGON –
    Website of the Michigan, USA based chapter of the American Singers Club. Site offers articles, show & breeder information, and much more.
  • The Yorkshire Canary Club –
    The YCC was founded in 1894 with the object of encouraging the breeding and exhibiting of the Yorkshire Canary, which was originally bred by the woollen mill workers in and around the City of Bradford. The true home of this variety is still in West Yorkshire, but it is also kept with enthusiasm and pride throughout the world.
